Traffic Management Operative (TMO) – Cork
We're looking for Traffic Management Operatives (TMOs) to join our crews in Cork. You'll set up and look after Chapter 8 compliant traffic management on roadworks and civil engineering jobs around Cork City and County, working out of our yard in Ringaskiddy. Experience helps, but it's not essential.

What you'll do
- Set up, maintain and take down traffic management on site: road closures, diversions and lane closures
- Put out signs, cones and barriers to the approved traffic management plan (TMP)
- Run Stop/Go boards and temporary traffic lights to keep traffic moving safely
- Keep walkways safe for pedestrians, and keep the crew and the public out of harm's way
- Load and unload the van, check the gear and report any hazards straight away
- Follow site rules and wear your PPE
Requirements
Essential certifications
Desirable
- Experience in traffic management helps, but it's not essential
- An SLG (Signing, Lighting & Guarding) card is a bonus
- A driving licence is an advantage
- You take safety seriously, you turn up on time, and you're comfortable working beside live traffic
